- Introduced India’s first Clinical MD in Sports Medicine
- Designed, planned and presented, "Center With Potential For Excellence In Sports Sciences" and was appointed Coordinator Component "A", University Grants Commission 's Centre for Excellence, a 30 crores project of which 6 crores has been already allocated to the university.

Transformed a one-man department in 1995 to internationally recognized department in 2007. |
